hammies in action

we just got some new hamsters...7 of them. we initially decided on 2 but dad wanted them all. coming from the same parent, the cute balls of fur have a dark streak running down their back(though i am not sure if all hammies are like that). 3 white ones and 4 grey. they are 3 weeks old and have developed their individual personalities, which we've named them after.

the most active is Ethan, after Tom Cruises' Ethan Hunt in mission impossible. he's grey and loves climbing, upside-down, running around, on the treadmill and around the house. likes humans a lot and will crawl into your hand.

there's Lazy. can't say much cos all he does is eat and sleep.he's a white btw. these two are the biggest and opposites. Ethan is big cos of all the exercise and Lazy's just fat.

there is Meatball. loves doing everything, like eating,sleeping, exercising and whatnot but when he sleeps, he curls himself into a tight ball of grey fur and hamster meat, hence the name meatball.

also there's Bashful. shy but when threatened, she will bite...hard. she's the hardest to catch as she is very wary of human hands. she thinks they are dangerous.white and squeaky.

grey Furball is quite like the clone of meatball. does everything meatball does but the only thing different is that he sleeps with his body outstretched. we couldn't find a name for him so Furball was what we call him.

Ace the white one. like Ethan, this little critter like to climb but is less active.likes human hands.

and last but not least, Junior. he is the smallest of the rest by a reasonable bit. jittery and timid, he will not hesitate to bite if he feels threatened.

but they escaped... but we found them all at last and put them back into their cage.
